Jackboy Early Life
Born in Haiti on August 27, 1997, Pierre Delince, aka Jackboy, grew up in Pompano Beach, Florida. His family first settled in Broward Country, Florida, then later moved up to North Lauderdale and then Pompano Beach. He lived in Haiti for six years before returning to the United States.
Delince committed a number of crimes as a child; at the age of 11, he broke into a house and was taken into custody. After being placed in a juvenile detention facility, he was eventually charged with credit card fraud, armed robbery, and aggravated battery.
After serving more than a year in prison, he was moved to Henrico County due to a parole infraction. There, he was imprisoned for a few more months before being released in March 2019.
Jackboy Career
JackBoy released his first two tracks on SoundCloud, “Missin You” and “Bossed Up,” to kick off his musical career. His buddy Kodak Black immediately signed him to Sniper Gang Records, assisting with the release of his mixtape Stick Up Kid in 2016. Following his release from prison in April 2019, he released his first album under the name Jackboy, which peaked at No. 96 on the Billboard 200 list.
He released his second album, Love Me While I’m Here, the following year. The album was warmly welcomed by his fans. Building on the success of his first and second albums, he swiftly released Jackboy 2, his third album, in 2022.
